Our Mission

Haney Appraisals in Fine Art, LLC is dedicated to providing professional, detailed, and timely appraisals that are catered to the client's personal goals. We guarantee an unbiased approach that is conducted through ethical means and thoughtful service.

Ryan Haney is a Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). He diligently follows the ISA Code of Ethics and adheres to The Appraisal Foundation's Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP). Due to his experience and his credentials, Ryan meets the standards of a "Qualified Appraiser," as defined by the IRS.

Based in Kansas City, Ryan graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute where he earned his degree in Art History, Sculpture, and Social Practice. While there, he was also a Ford Foundation Scholar, a Yale Norfolk Nominee, a Lead Bank Emerging Artist, and a member of the President's List for academic achievement. 

Ryan has served as the head researcher for KCAI Ray Beagle Chair Michele Fricke's Color Archive, a cross-cultural resource for students studying art history, and has also assisted gallery operations at the H&R Block Artspace in Kansas City. His own research has been presented at symposiums held at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Albrecht Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, Missouri.

In addition to his appraisal practice, Ryan is an active artist. He has exhibited throughout Kansas City, including the H&R Block Artspace, the Smalter Gallery, and the Kansas City Artist Coalition. His most recent show was the Evansville Museum's 47th Annual Mid-States Craft Exhibition in Indiana.

The International Society of Appraisers (ISA) is one of the world's foremost personal property appraisal associations. As a Member, Ryan Haney is held to professional and ethical standards that ensure quality service to those seeking appraisals. Members maintain their status by following continuing education requirements on a scheduled basis. These requirements ensure that those associated with ISA are always up-to-date with the standards that make up a professional appraiser.

These standards include the ISA Code of Ethics, The Appraisal Foundation's Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP), and the definition of a "Qualified Appraiser" as it is put forth by the IRS.
